I'm not rlly hating on Style or your opinion, just like cuz Stan isn't good in a relationship(seen with Stendy), and Stan and Kyle appear to have a 'good' friend relationship, so what makes you think that Stan wouldn't treat Kyle the same if they were dating?/gen

That’s a good question. Why would Stan be any different in a relationship with Kyle? How do I know it wouldn’t be a rinse and repeat? Well, looking at their dynamic in the overall show is a big part in getting the answer to why it would be different.

There’s a lot of uniqueness in their friendship especially when it comes to what Stan does. Stan used to seek out Kyle when he’s emotional, seeing him as someone to go to. He didn't and still doesn’t really do that with anyone else. He’s also readily willing to sacrifice for Kyle, doing everything he can for him whether it be him almost dying or because he felt insecure about his looks due to a tier list. He would value Kyle’s word a lot too, often going along with what he says because of this. Stan doesn’t really do any of this with anyone else, further highlighting their dynamic as something that stands out.

When you compare this to the relationship that Stan has with Wendy, it’s notable the care and effort Stan puts in isn’t nearly on the same level. (Even more when you think about the chat gpt episode). So with all this in mind, logically it would make sense that if he was placed in a relationship with Kyle, it would probably go better.

Honestly, though, despite all this I don’t think that’s exactly the case either though. I can explain why (but it's gonna be very long and a deep dive into style's dynamic):

Hot take, but I think when it comes to Stan being in a relationship, I see it always starting off rough no matter the person involved with him due to his mental health. The obvious reasoning is his depression that's untreated, but I believe there's even more to it than this.

I mentioned this briefly, but I see Stan as a very accidentally bpd (borderline personality disorder) coded character. A lot of the behaviors that he exhibits with Kyle feel reminiscent of how one would act with their favorite person. This is most seen with how he acts when he loses Kyle, he goes through an extremely rough withdrawal period. Stan also gets sensitive easily, possessive, can switch emotions quickly, behave irrationally, prone to addictive substances, makes impulsive choices, and tried to shove Kyle out of his life before he could when his depression got severe, etc. It would explain the way he acts out whenever anything concerning Kyle happens.

Then, stay with me, Kyle strikes me as very npd (narcissistic personality disorder) coded, albeit, again, by accident. Despite Stan being his most important relationship and someone he cares for, he constantly dismisses his feelings, pokes fun at him, and tends to try manipulating him into backing him up in strange circumstances even when he's not in the right. Then look at his other consistent traits like his need for attention and adoration, strong refusal to accept when he's wrong, fearing being ostracized/abandoned, thinking himself morally superior at all times, and behaves manipulative often, etc. I feel like these traits get overlooked a lot because he's framed as the good/right one by the show, but when you really think about it, it feels like a strange line up for him until that coding is considered.

I’m no professional, but I’ve looked into this a good amount and know people with these things and it feels like it aligns pretty well the more you look into it. I won’t ramble on explaining this further, but I could if asked. It’s really interesting to think about. 

So if they got together um...it's gonna be complicated, especially with an fp involved. These kind of pairs in relationships are notorious for going bad, terrible even. The start is always sunshine and rainbows though...but then it sort of explodes. But I mean, their friendship has kinda already gone bad in modern day. Their actions with each other have left wounds. They don't seem as cheery with each other as they once were nor do they even talk much, but they do still go to each other. Even when looking at early seasons, they kept going through ‘break up’ arcs due to setting each other off. Yet they come back to each other still each time.

So my point is…yes it would be different, Stan would behave different for sure. Would it be better? Not for a long time, in fact it’d be worse for a while. Here’s the thing though, I think that’s not necessarily what matters. I think what really matters is whether it stays rough or if they manage to break out of it. I think style can and will manage to get better. Especially if Kyle gets a psychology degree, awareness goes a long way.

And as I was saying, they have this inner want to go back to each other no matter what happens. They’re only truly happiest when together and we see a clear example of this with the two pc timelines. But we also see how complicated this can be for them within the same specials. This is why I like them. They’re complicated and messy, but really do care for each other a lot and at the end of the day prefer to try mending their bond then leaving it to die out. They just need more support and communication with each other.

ranting about chapter titles of my prison duo fic for 1000+ words

so all of the titles of my prison duo fic (the sun and the night sky) are names of flowers. i had the fun idea and then i couldn't stop because i started a pattern and i refused to break the pattern unless it was important story wise (i'll get to that)

so here's a master list of all the first 10 chapters, their titles, what the flowers mean and why i chose them!

spoiler warning - go read my fic if you haven't already! (and if you don't want to but still wanna read this tw: talking about eating disorders)

Daffodils > Daffodils - new beginnings and rebirth In this chapter Icarus is handing over the title of Quixis to hc!Sherbert, they get to go home but they've changed so much they're practically a different person. not only did their eye change back, making them whole again, they've seen so much happen across the multiverse, watched other versions make mistakes and just watched them all live. they've learned from their lives. going home after about 200-250 years will be like being reborn for them, its a new beginning. especially because no one remembers them, not even the world itself, not even the records.

Forget-me-nots and Yellow Roses > Forget me nots - rememberance, and a symbol of memory loss/dementia Icarus meets with people they've known, Rae, Violet (also Isla, but they dont remember her, they didn't get their memories of the resets fully back). No one remembers them, Rae thought they died as a child. Near the end of the chapter Caspian gets home, he knows Icarus, and he reveals he never forgot them. He restores the memories of Rae and Violet, hence rememberance. They're getting remembered. > Yellow Roses - happiness, friendship, a way of saying "you make me happy" Icarus and Violet are friends in this universe, both of them have wanted it to be more for so long but they've both been too scared to lose the other to say anything. So they are really close friends, and Icarus is just so happy Centross remembers them that they don't mind that they're just friends, they can't bring themself to want them to be more when there was even a moment where they thought they'd never get what they had before back because even if they were to start again, they'd never be as close as they were. They both went through so much and they went through a lot of it together. They were both so shitty to each other but they stayed close despite it, they forgave each other despite it. So Icarus is happy with friendship, and Centross does make them happy.

Bluebells and Lavender > Bluebells - constancy, gratitude, everlasting love Centross is their constant, he's been there all three resets that they remember. He's always been there, and as Sherb (the actual real one) has mentioned before that Icarus' whole emotional state is tied to him. When they're fighting, they're spiraling, when they're happy they're happy, when (they think) he's dead they're deteriotation, and doing everything to bring him back. They're so grateful that they have him, and he's their rock. And of course they have always loved him, and him them. Everlasting love is so self explanatory they're GAY and LOVE EACH OTHER forever and ever > Lavender - silence, devotion, calmness and serenity Icarus says to much about Quixis stuff and shuts down, they go silent. Centross is devoted to helping them calm down and get somewhere safe, "One thing he knew was he was not leaving their side until they were sober" look how devoted he is look at him, he cares so much!!!! Centross helps them calm down, and get calm enough to fall asleep, they feel safe and calm around him.

Yellow Roses and Lily of the Valley > Yellow Roses - cowardice, sickness and mental illness These have appeared already, but they also have negative meanings, the repeated use of them now in their negative symbolism shows a shift in the tone of the story. This is the chapter they have breakfast with Ghaae+ household, they are unable to eat the food and dissociate during the meal, they end up leaving early, blaming it on a hangover - this part shows the cowardice, running away from their problem and hiding/running away. And the sickness and mental illness serve as a way to show that this is the beginnings of an eating disorder showing. > Lily of the Valley - sadness, pain, loss and death (+ poisonous) This shows the negatives of the breakfast, paired with the yellow roses the title of the chapter shows how Icarus' developing mental illness is already poisoning parts of their life. (thanking Vex for finding these flowers they're so good and they work so well and i struggled so hard with finding flowers with bad meanings <3)

Cornflowers and White Anemone > Cornflowers - symbol of hope, c!Ocie's favourite Yeah i just picked cornflowers cause i think they're c!Ocies fav and if im wrong its because i associate them with her or smth. Also symbol of hope!! its important because- > White Anemone - expectations, anticipation and undying love Violet wants to ask Ocie if he can date Ic but he wants to give her time to process the memories first (bc she hated them for a while there), he'll still love her and he'll always love them. While he's not with them he's anxious to get back to them, to make sure they're ok. Back with Icarus there are some unspoken expectations for them to eat, something they aren't able to do, specifically there's the scene Violet sits on the floor and tried to get them eat some bread, they end up dropping it on the floor so its inedible. Anticipation also works as this chapter is left on a cliffhanger, Centross asks Icarus if they're doing okay.

Orange Lillies > Orange Lillies - hatred, pride, disdain and contempt (+ they only live for a few weeks) Hatred, disdain and contempt are all emotions Icarus directs towards themself and their own body. They look at themself for the first time and see how underweight they are, they hate how they look and they hate themself. The pride symbolizm is irony, they should be feeling proud after managing to eat but they don't, it's a taunting meaning.

A Single Daffodil... > Singular Daffodil - misfortune A daffodil on its own represents differently than multiple, you might notice that all of the chapter titles are pluralises, including the use of Daffodils in the first one. In this chapter Icarus throws up for the the first time in the fic and they also faint in the second section. Which leads to Centross finding about their difficulties eating (neither of them know that it's an eating disorder, so they never use those words for it). It has the elipses at the end to show its split into two chapters.

...and Purple Hyacinth > Purple Hyacinth - Sorrow and a desire for forgivness All of the two days this chapter follows are not super happy for the both of them, near the end Icarus claims they've finished their house and that they plan to stay there. This leads Centross to go on a small tangent about how they didn't make a farm and they don't have any food, he tells them that they could die (pretty sorrowful if you ask me). Icarus feels the need to apologise for making him look after them.

Dandelions? > Dandelions - Hope, healing and resilience Icarus is doing a lot better in this chapter, they've made a lot of improvement really quickly and Centross is really proud of them for it, he has hope that they'll continue to improve. > ? This chapter is from Violet's point of view. The question mark is put there to tell the reader that something is wrong, that things are not as they seem. The reader not being able to see Icarus' thought or view of anything is intentional as they are in fact not doing okay. They are not getting better, they're trying to pretend to be better. For Centross. To make him trust them and make him happy.

Colorblind Not a flower. Remember when I said I didn't want to break the pattern of flower chapter titles unless it was important story wise? Yeah. This is where its important Icarus succesfully fooled Centross into thinking they were okay, and he lets them be alone that night. They know they're not okay but they don't want to get better at this point. This is their rock bottom. They punch the mirror in their bathroom out of disgust of their body and face, they faint from the motion, falling into the mirror and onto a pile of broken glass. They are left bleeding out on the floor of their bathroom, behind a locked door.

The title of this chapter comes from a song i listened to on loop to write most of the Icarus chapters, though it is available on spotify one of the creators is not a good guy and i don't want him to get money from it. The song is Empty by Jaiden Animations (wonderful and perfect) and Boyinaband <- hes the icky one, there are re-uploads of the song on youtube. it is a really good song (and the music video is cool)

Empty is a song about Jaiden's personal experience with an eating disorder, so it's very fitting. The title comes from the line "I know it's wrong but just because you know you're colorblind doesn't mean you can see the colors" The whole bit with them looking in the mirror is inspired by the line "I'm looking but I can't see myself" They look into their mirror but they don't see their own face, only Fables, and every other version of themself.

Colorblind also works really well against the flower chapters, because flowers are colourful, so colorblind means they can't see the colours of the flowers, and the colours are very important when it comes to symbolizm, they can't see them. It means that they look back on the week since they've got back and they can't see it for what it is. They actually can't remember most of it, i don't think this would ever come up in the fic outright but Icarus doesn't remember most of their days, all of them sort of blur together and they can't rememeber what thing happened on what day. This is a result of both their disocation and lack of eating leaving them disorented.

it would probably be a bit like the silver eyes (I only read the first one) where everyone just keeps getting taken all the time and they have to go find them 😭 like how Gregory had to go on a save Freddy mission a time or two someone would prob get taken by a glamrock or vanny or something and Gregory would have to go on a rescue mission

on the other hand there would probably be disagreement because Gregory would want to roam, tony would want to investigate the virus, and cassie would be like why dont we just stay in freddys room or something. so they'd be pulling eachother ever which way and Freddy wouldnt have as easy as a time telling them directions and it would be more messy

on the other hand I do think the story would be completely different. first of all the real Gregory is there with cassie so she wont be tricked by the mimic. and Gregory would let her know about how dangerous it is and she would'nt interfere in its trap. but I think she would cause things to change because first of all greg has his bff back but second of all, cassie is an example that what they're doing wont work forever because she was almost fooled. so they'd have to go through another trapping/killing process and they'd be like ugh we just want to be safe and it would be upsetting because this thing wont go away

morang and kapone meet as adults in GA time period, during organised events between kyhuine and maanuls colonies. Where the goal is to exchange several willing members of respective colony with the other. Essentially at opposite species colony the exchanged members just learns the others culture and the way of living of their bigger/smaller cousins. One of the several tactics colonies agreed upon to introduce one another, exchanged members would be taken in charge by chosen community "teachers" from the colony they're staying at (person who takes in charge is fluent in the language of opposite species).

You could almost say its like summer camps, they'd stay there for a month or more, come back home to talk about how pleasant it was and how different they are. Some would sometimes come back to give news to family but still travel back because they've fallen in love with the practices, culture, all the differences and so on. Or because they've found a partner there, and they decided to live at the other's place. Because, yes while GA starts with war and ends with it, not every colony were under the two war faction controls and others were lucky to be able to function the way they wanted, and said colonies who were free would then do stuff like the colony member exchanges i mentioned, to learn and understand this new species they've learned about at the end of AOS. BUT im babbling now, back to morang kapone, this was for context

Morang and ak'laam, whos previously studied kyhuine language volunteered to be part of the group that will welcome and guide exchanged kyhuine members coming to their colony, morang was in charge of kapone and that's how they first meet. While the person in charge of 1-3 people does most of the work, welcoming kyhuines/maanuls into colony is something every members should take part on, offering gifts and being overall nice. But yeah, morang teacher her culture (western maanul in this case), her food, her language, showed ceremonies,shared songs, thought her the animals, the way maanuls preach the ocean and the religious myths surrounding it and how the weather is vastly different. Essentially they bond and get closer during this moments, and while she would've loved to teach kapone how to swim so she could show her the wonders of the reefs near home, kapone is a kyhuine, and they hate the feeling of being wet and plus they dont have an oil gland that they can coat their feathers with, so when wet kyhuines are soaking and heavy. they're from desert so they never experienced being in water before.

In return kapone would help her with accent when speaking in her language, cause yes fun fact morang's language when speaking kyhuine language sucks a bit, but ak'laam quite fluent. She'd describe how home was like for her, eventually when kapone goes back to home colony morang goes with her because she wants to see kyhuine life and habitats. Like morang did, kapone nows the one who teach her and bring her to ceremonies and events in colony to show her.

They end up visiting each other's place frequently, usually staying several weeks or months at one's colony. Firstly for expanding their knowledge and view of world, then they'd do it just because they wanted to see each other's. I'd say, 2 or 3 years after they've meet is when they became romantic mates, but yeah that's in short how they meet.

Did one move out to the other's place permanently? Not really, morang says her heart belongs at sea so she never permanently moved to be where kapone originates from. Both just spend time at each other's place alot but they never move out forever, tho kapone stays at morang's place the most but she regularly visits her home family.

Even on the discussion of burial they won't be togheter at death (first off cause kyhuines live longer) and because they agreed that morang will have the traditional maanul burial at sea (about burials, I'd suggest to not go read the old ask answer because I'd like to publish an updated text about it soon), and kapone will be burned after death. They agreed on having memorial wall paintings of them togheter to celebrate the time they had with those temporary vessels, while death can be scary it's not the end to them since they believe that they'll find each other's in every next lives, every time their respective diety will give them a new vessel to explore the world again, whenever that would be as a plant or any animal, they'll find each other's each time without even knowing.

Fun fact, since maanul and kyhuine size differences is quite big, in the home of kapone (which is quite narrow) morang's head would rub against the ceiling so she'd move around all crunched down head low

like, lewis and nico are in a high school relationship, they've known each other for forever ever since they were kids, their parents are close, they've been on holidays together the whole deal but-- they're also childhood friends in that way where they fell apart somewhere in intermediate and early high school.

nico made different friends, lewis made different friends, they just stopped talking. they were never really friends at school either, they'd have a great time on the weekend but. again. they had separate groups

they start going out after they keep running into each other at parties in high school: they go off into quiet corners and end up talking for hours nursing warm beers and chatting about everything, nothing. one of these nights, someone leans forward -- dunno who, lewis or nico, and it doesn't really matter but they're kissing

they keep it secret and its painful. lewis doesn't want to be judged for dating nico (internalised homophobia and nico is just again. theyre part of different crowds. nico goes with it but its frustrating-- sometimes he just wants to talk to lewis at school but he knows he cant, they dont go anywhere in public together or if they do its not even fun because lewis is looking over his shoulder to see if theres anyone that they know.

they break up-- and its awful and messy and lewis tries to do it over the phone but nico is like you cant seriously be doing this i live 5 minutes away from you im coming over.

neither of them can even talk about it to anyone because again nobody KNEW (and people did know but they knew the vibe was. not tlaking about it, so they never brought it up. the secrecy never even mattered tragedy!) and its very licking your wounds why are you so moody and angry, ppl in their life being like. just TALK to us!

and then they just ignore it because they're going to different universities anyway (nico goes away, lewis stays near their hometown) except then nico transfers back because his dad has an illness and he wants to stay close to him. lewis hates bumping into him (he doesn't like who he used to be. he feels really bad for treating nico the way he did) but it comes off as him just hating nico.

nico is seeing someone who's-- just okay. lewis hates him. lewis also hates how okay his friends are with nico, and with the guy hes seeing (they were never homophobic, just normal guys. when nico comes to a party theyre at they back slap him say hey whats up ur back etc etc)

nico and the guy break up. long getting back together process -- theres a moment where lewis is like can we just be friends again. and then both of them are nervous about moving beyond that and possibly fucking it up again and then NEVER having each other in their lives

everyone around them can see whats going on but they cant moment. lewis thinks his parents r just being annoying asking after nico but they always knew and they care about lewis and they just want him to be happy etc. etc. (somewhere in here a rlly difficult coming out convo with his dad where theyre not making eye contact but in the end its all abt love)

and then yeah. they get back together and its the same but so different and theyre grown up!

but hey, people change, people get different things from stories and have different head canons. if its possible then it is possible. i don't know what's "canon" anymore than you do now. when i say i'm not going to confirm anything this is what i mean -even ideas that aren't something i implied are equally as valid as anything else. death of the author. death of a finailty of what is certain to happen post-story.

(This is the song -> In My Room by Chance Peña. I picked this song because 1: it hurts so bad and I wanted to write angst. And 2: i like the idea of them rushing into a relationship and doing so much at once that they dont realise its not working until its too late, until one of them decides they need to leave, to seek something else. The happy ending is that they leave and grow and then find their way back to each other but that doesn't happen in this post.

"Do you want me to come with you?" Steve had asked quietly, afraid that he already knew the answer. All his worst fears were coming true right in front of him and he could do nothing to stop it.

Eddie inhaled sharply and, still without looking at him, shook his head. "I need time to roam on my own. It's not you- "

"Don't fucking say it."

When you left for Georgia

They stood outside their apartment, well, Steve's apartment now, and when the silence became too much, Steve asked. "Did this mean anything to you? Was I just here to keep you entertained? Are you bored of me now?"

He tried not to cry, tried to keep himself together but it was hard when his entire world was up and leaving him without a good fucking reason. It hurt even more that Eddie couldn't even look him in the eyes. He'd tried to leave while Steve was at work, not expecting Steve to get off early and catch him loading his van with stuff.

"Was I too much? Did I do something wrong?" Steve ran a hand through his hair and gripped it tightly, trying to resist the urge to yell and scream. Steve broke at that point. Tears fell down his cheeks and his chest was heaving with each awful, ugly sob that wracked his body.

They'd whispered these things against each other's lips every night, whispered promises to stay by the other's side no matter what, whispered about hopes to one day get married.

Guess we weren't meant to last

"No, Steve, I need something different, something more. I can't stay here forever."

Something more. What more could he want? Steve had given him his entire heart but apparently it wasn't enough.

Eddie finally lifted his head and a slight crack formed in his mask when their eyes met. His bottom lip wobbled as he said, "I still love you but it's not enough anymore, Stevie. I need to leave this godforsaken town and I need to do it alone."

"Don't come back." He'd spat at Eddie's feet. He'd channelled every bit of anger that bubbled up inside of him to stop himself from latching onto the one thing he needed most, to stop him from begging Eddie to stay.

I can't move on from that and I don't have the words

So I'll keep counting stars inside of my room

Eddie took a piece of Steve when he backed out of that driveway and never looked back. He took a part of him far, far away and each night Steve goes out to the balcony they used to sit on to count stars and he tries to get that piece of himself to come back home.

Vanessa wahhh!!!!! Sometimes I feel like if put to much off myself Into her because that's what usually happens when I love a character too much. I feel like another reason Vanessa doesn't usually ask for help is because whenever she did ask for it it just ended fricking her over.

Like growing up 4 me asking for help is either a life or death sentence. Like idk probably culture shit but asking for help Is a sign of weakness and if you can't immediately do something you're a failure. Your value is how useful you are and probably why Vanessa is reluctantly obeying Glitchtrap like that shit is ingrained with you. It doesn't go away! Even after she gets to be free from their control asking for help is still to hard for her.

Vanessa after sb probably overwokrs herself because now she has things to worry about and also like mouths to feed. She has to be useful she has to. Why else would she be allowed to live and like thankfully she learns it's OK to rely on others. She learns it's ok to ask for help it's not a burden.

I like to think they did. Why because I love bittersweet endings a lot. Charlie thinking she could save them by giving them another chance at life. Yet they remained trapped in those dingy suits forced to stay there and do the same things over and over and over again. I'm sure some of them were bitter with what she did.

They're all kids after all sometimes they just see the black and white and not the grey off it all. But before their tension they were probably the closest friends ever. I think they all drew alot and even made characters roleplaying with eachother!! Projecting hehehe my irls and I would draw and self insert eachother into different media. I never really focus on the human characters in my aus besides Vanessa because I feel like I can't write ppl that well. Like idk how to describe it It's like I feel like seeing others work of the human characters is freaking more peak to me. Also just like not feeling like a person sometimes and just going oh yeah these are human activities!!!! Also i think cuz like when I joined fnaf when it first came out I liked the animal characters more like we can attach any headcanon we wanted because well heheh they barely had any personality traits

FFPS Just hurts more because she's like this is a gift you've given us before getting cut off by Henry but it hurts more becayse she's trying to be a good daughter and follow in his father footsteps!!! William doesn't even acknowledge it at all in the game. No lines nothing he's just it's like he's avoiding her embarrassed by his own mistake about letting his own creation kill his own kid again. Leaving her to rot in the basement and letting Micheal go in his place instead like why did you do that why why why she likes to play pretend.

In the end maybe she pretended to much that her father loved her so much and that's why she has to be good. He must've left her down there because she went to visit baby without his permission like ughhh 😭😭😭😭 The fact she got kicked out of Ennard too like she's still bossy and in charge and I just love that cuz we got a sick ass fnaf design. But also since the funtimes have their own AI maybe being trapped down there for so long with her believing her fantasies and trusting her to go into Micheal before being ejected out from him. They ended up hating her because they wanted to kill and kidnap kids cuz off what Willy wrote in their AI

So she's just left alone again after having the people she spent her entire childhood with leave her because unlike people they're not like her. Leaving This As A Reminder (11/7/23)

Hi Case. Been another few months since we've chatted and wow does my last post make me sad and shocked at how much can change in 5 months.

Lets quickly recap a friend update which is the shore unveiled some really disgusting truths about some of my friendships in this city. My "perfect" friend group i found was far from it and i dont even need to go into detail bc we are ok and we are healing.

I gravitated back to this channel because tomorrow i am about to reenter a healing phase and going to work on ending a relationship with D for the very forseeable future. While these past 10 or 11 months have brought us back together closer than ever, sometimes love doesn't conquer all. You two have tried your best (at least you have) to make something work, but in the end we've reached the last page of our story. He's not only become one of your closest ties in nyc, but he's taught you how to love, even when someone doesn't deserve it.

Over the past 10/11 months you went from convincing yourself that one meet up at a bar won't bother you and let him back in.. you just wanted to hear him out and get an ego boost that he still wanted you. You'd tell yourself its fine, I don't even like him anymore its just a hook up... but days and weeks and months went by and you fell right back into the trap, yet this time you had hope. Hope that there was a future, hope that maybe things this time were different. Hope that you finally cracked his code and could win the ultimate prize - being a girlfriend. But the second you hear that word leave his lips it felt...uncomfortable.

Maybe being in a relationship wasn't what you were searching for with him either - could it be that you finally just wanted him to want you? Because after months of actually experiencing the highs of being together (going to dinners, being invited to events, going out with his friends) you finally got a peek into a life together - but was it everything you wanted and more? Not really. There were still those anixous days of "is he going to text me today?", "why did he invite her to this event over me?", "why does he never ask me about myself", etc. etc. etc. There were also those tough conversations that led you to realize - Can this even go where I want it to go? D and you have very different ideas of where you are in 10 years. You want a family, you want to live near your family (CA), you love being adventurous and going outside and appreciating the little things. Of course im not saying he cant but he also prioritizes drinking, partying, staying out till 4am and in bed all day the next.. cmon case that isnt you.

While I can name many reasons why it wont work logistically I also want to remind you of how he treated you the past 3 years. He does the same thing OVER and OVER again. He leaves you uncomfortable for 24 hours and you have such crippling anxiety that it's all you can think about, you didn't eat for a day, you couldn't even focus on yourself/work. You can't even be honest with your parents because you think they'd think your a fool for being back together with this person who was only brought to their attention because of how much he hurt you that you were so depressed you had to just be honest.

If there is one thing I ask you to promise me is that please Casey you deserve so much more and there is someone out there who can give you so much more. D's patterns are never going to change - at least not for you. Because you are not meant to end up together. He served a beautiful story in your life that came with love, hurt, happiness, anxiety, and every emotion under the sun but it is time to pick yourself. I know the comfort he has provided you makes you feel so safe in a world where you don't always feel that way. But I am not only asking but begging you to choose yourself and walk away forever. There is the possibility that he comes back in 2 months time, but you need to not respond. PLEASE CASEY. I know one silly hi doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but it's exactly what got us back to here. I know you love/loved him, but its time to give that love you can give to someone who gives you 10x more back.

I know losing people is so hard for you, but losing yourself is worse and that is what is going to happen if you return to this. Your friends have begged you to walk away and i know its easy to say "you don't know him" or "you dont get it" but thats exactly why im writing this today. I do get it. I lived it. and I know I need to walk away and close this chapter of my life. I'll always hold a place for D in my heart and I do think he is my first love, but its time to find a forever love (especially in yourself first).

I am sorry if this came across harsh, but I love you. I am so proud of you. You are ressilient and have dealt with much more challenging things in this life and im sure another great challenge is just around the corner, but i'll just leave you with this...

im having trouble assigning one metric like age, weight, vitals, emotional state, etc. to memory usage because it's such a computer-y concept- maybe a combination of several of those things?

when you're talking about memory... uh... it's not really...

it's weird- UM- heRE's HOw RAM WORKS:

in general* there's two ways to handle data:

slow to access, but i can store a lot of data basically forever, or super fast, but i can only store a little, temporarily.

RAM (Random Access Memory) is the second option. it's a physically different chip from the long-term-big-storage one, and it is designed to multitask many, many file accesses/calculations/other processes at once. video games, modeling/editing/animation software, and web browsers commonly eat up a lot of RAM (a LOT: check out Flash up there at the top easily munching 300 thousand K* for the simplest possible animation) *we are going to pretend it's that simple because trying to research this further made the later sections of RUSH-E start blasting in my head :) (further reading that looks correct probably about things that are and aren't the "active private working set" (column displayed by default in Task Manager -> Details and the animation))

(here's 3 windows of 18 tabs of OperaGX as an example)

so it's not really the runtime of the program ("im not sure if their memory usage is reliant on how long they've been existing..."), but what its function is, that foreshadows its required RAM.

"...or how. complex they were drawn." <- this one should work. since they're all separate programs, they each have to handle their own graphics, and would use a type of RAM to keep up their silky smooth framerates and procedural animations.

and there's the. THOUGHTS. SENTIENCE. that they all have, of course. i can only assume they use computer working memory (a bit more RAM) like humans use our working memory, and permanent save files stored elsewhere for long-term stuff, because there is no other reference for how a functioning person-program works.

that doesn't explain why orange's number is so different from RYGB... and even when a program doesn't display anything or have feelings the RAM usage shown in Task Manager changes a lot... but in IV it stays exactly the same throughout for every single program..... (i was about to be excited if trying to end TheSecondComing.exe spiked his metrics or something but nothing happens *sad nerd face*) .....so im pretty sure not much was intended on Alan's part by assigning any of these RAM usage values, except for cinematic reasons: giving TheSecondComing.exe much less than the StickFigure[Color].exes forces c!Alan to search for it, realize it has a weird name, and zoom in all dramatic on it for the Description reveal, all because it's further down the list. :P

but if i were forced to speculate anyway-

id guess that the StickFigure[Color].exes use more RAM because they come from a game. maybe they're carrying around the game scripts that are responsible for waiting for user inputs. TheSecondComing.exe was never designed to be controlled, so would lack user input listeners by default. why does RYGB have different individual RAM usages? heck if i know- the discrepancies are small enough i think it's just. normal fluctuations. since they're doing different stuff and are variations on the same program, they'd likely stay near each other in RAM requirements, but trade places with who's using the most constantly.

is that all? uhhhh well all i know about getting user input is it can get complicated. suppose it might be 13,516 K complicated.

the only other thing i thought of is TSC.exe could hide suspiciously high RAM usage by stealing from Flash's allocated space. but i dont know if that's a real thing, even for worms. -> if it is, the story goes that, like Minecraft performance can increase by allocating more RAM for it, Flash probably has a big chunk set aside for processing animation-related stuff. TSC.exe, related/attached to Flash, may have access to this chunk, using some of Flash's resources instead of clocking more usage for itself on the Task Manager. the remaining 3,012 K may therefore be impossible to hide or outsource, and would account for... idk, the minimum RAM required to maintain a sapient stick figure? <- again, fully riffing and playing pretend with my touys there though. NOT sure if any of that section is anything. but it would be neat \o/

it's not clear what the differences mean. it likely does not mean anything at all canonically (cinematic reasons). but i can confidently say that the Memory value probably corresponds to an individual stick figure's current: physical state (stored position, limb arrangements, collisions), display data (color, frame generation, frame display), emotional state (neutral vs intense), mental state (how hard they are thinking), extra features (game data, other attachments to parent programs), independence (is or isn't using memory through another program), and probably other things simultaneously.

i went and collected those numbers

however... it seems this metric we were discussing wasn't related to file size after all, it was memory usage.

i do not know enough about memory to immediately recognize the implications of this information but still cool to know and weird and interesting that they're so different 👉👉 handing to you for safekeeping

SO sorry this took literally forever anon! this has been sitting in my notes for i dont know how long and i finally finished it in class this morning. i got VERY into it after a while so there's kind of a lot under the cut.

the thing about lysithea and ashe is you have a person that believes in the good of authority, that people can improve if given time and guidance, and someone who was completely betrayed by the people that were supposed to protect her. honestly i don't think i'd blame lysithea if she hated anyone even remotely like the people who took over house ordelia.

but even though lysithea has experienced horrors unimaginable, she still tries to keep improving herself for the good of others. she and ashe are alike in that way - she improves herself for her parents. he improves himself for his siblings.

but do either of them ever improve for their own sake?

i think that's something they'd bond over, one of their few common points - that they both want to make someone proud, to make them happy and let them live comfortably. they've experienced horrible lows and don't want to return to them.

but they both approach this differently. obviously we as the player know it's because lysithea is running on borrowed time, she doesn't know how long she'll be around and she wants to get as much done as she can. but ashe takes the time to know people, to enjoy smaller things in life, even as much as he works hard to be a knight. he cooks and reads and tries to have a life outside of his studies. lysithea doesn't give herself that luxury.

however, lysithea's love for sweets trumps her need to get things done sometimes. and that's how they end up talking for the first time.

their first interaction is in the dining hall. ashe is the one cooking, and lysithea finds that she absolutely loves what he's made. she ends up complimenting him thoroughly, not even noticing when he starts to blush.

he's a little embarrassed, reasonably, because he doesn't usually get this much attention for his cooking! outside of his siblings, no one pays this much attention to what he's made.

when lysithea realizes she's been rambling, she awkwardly extracts herself from the conversation and disappears for the rest of the evening. she's not around to realize that the smile stays on ashe's face for the rest of the night.

days later, they run into each other in the library, lysithea studying and ashe trying to. it's… not going so great, and usually lysithea would focus on her own work (she's running on borrowed time, after all) but as a thank you for that great meal, she offers ashe a hand.

and she learns that it's not that ashe is unintelligent or doesn't try, it's just that he doesn't quite understand the way the material is being taught. it's that he doesn't enjoy it, and that makes it more difficult to grasp. he's never been taught to study things like these (he's never had that opportunity) so she reteaches some of the material the way she understands it.

and… it helps. things slowly piece together, and it gets easier. not overnight, but for just one afternoon spent studying, it's considerable progress. ashe realizes instantly how much it's helped, and proposes a trade: for every afternoon spent studying, he'll make lysithea some sweets. she accepts instantly, barely considering that she might need that time for herself.

their study sessions eventually shift into meeting in the library to discuss what they've read recently after they realize that their taste in books (when lysithea isn't reading about magic theory) is fairly similar. it's a little two person book club, and it's good! it's fun! it's small and sweet and gets them shushed many times when they get too enthusiastic in their debates.

lysithea hasn't spent this much time on unproductive topics in a long time, but she rationalizes that it's still productive in a way. teaching ashe helps her reinforce her learning. getting sweets in return keeps her from being hungry when she studies on her own. their book clubs keep her thinking critically. logically, it is a good idea to stay around ashe. it makes reasonable sense.

(she does not let herself consider that maybe she is sticking around ashe for more than simply productive reasons.)

this continues up until the timeskip—trading study time for sweets and talking about books in their spare time. and then things go downhill.

regardless of the route, the two are separated for a long time. both of them go home to their families and defend their own territory. there's no time for studying together or book clubs anymore.

the war puts things into perspective: lysithea is still a ticking time bomb. ashe still has siblings to support. and so they grow up really goddamn quickly.

whether they meet on the battlefield or at a class reunion, when they first see each other weapons get dropped for a moment. they don't know if they're still the same people from five years ago, but they're willing to consider that maybe, this person is still someone good. someone familiar and comfortable.

they don't stay on opposite sides for long. regardless of who switches over, they meet up again in the greenhouse. some of ashe's plants are still blooming, and he's tending to them.

(it's then that lysithea realizes, beyond the little they share, she barely knows ashe. she barely gave herself the chance to know people when she was younger and maybe she still doesn't have much time but she's lived longer than she ever though she would and maybe, maybe she can try to know him better.)

(and ashe knows lysithea has always been reserved and private, barely sharing anything about her life outside of the monastery, and they've grown up enough that he can see there's a reason for that. he doesn't want to pry but he wants to let her know that if she wants to try, he can understand. and maybe he wants to try to share more, too. they don't have to move on from everything they had before but maybe they can add on to it.)

and so things get a bit deeper.

in the greenhouse, lysithea starts to talk a little about what life is like at home. carefully skirting around what's happened to her, she touches on how she's trying to make her parents' lives easier, how she's the only one left, how she doesn't have much time.

ashe doesn't know what it's like to live life with a time limit, but he knows what it's like to need to make someone else's life better, to need to make them proud, to be better for them. he understands loss and he's gotten a bit better at coping. lysithea has rarely discussed lonato with him, and maybe it's time to have that conversation.

this becomes their new normal. at least once a week, they sit in the greenhouse together just to deal with everything that's happening together. it gets easier to talk about the past when they talk about it together. it's easier to deal with the war, too, when they're able to talk about it together.

when everything's over, they both have to go home. they have lives outside of garreg mach that they can't just give up on.

…or can they?

half a year or so later, a letter from lysithea finds ashe in faerghus. she explains that she's renounced her nobility, she's made things easier for her parents, and she's finally done. there's nothing left for her but a happy life. and she'd like ashe to be a part of it, too. they've grown so much, from kids who studied and had a mini book club together to adults who fought alongside each other, and she doesn't want to give that up.

she writes that she understands he can't up and leave his siblings, so if he's willing to have her, she'll come to him. she'll make the trip over to the kingdom and stick around. she has money and she has governing intelligence if he'd like to make use of any of it.

he writes back that he'd love to have her, not for her money or her brain but for her, to have someone who's shared so much of his life at his side while he adjusts to a new normal. he'd like a familiar face in this unified fodlan, even if she doesn't think she'll be around for long.

the two never get married because of lysithea's time restraints, but they spend the rest of her life side by side. lysithea finds her place in a bigger family, one closer to what she was supposed to have. ashe finds someone he wants to spend the rest of his life with, someone who sticks around for the good and the bad, someone who is willing to help him and support him and understand him.

it's said that the two spent most of their days in the kitchen, where laughter could always be heard. ashe's siblings will say that they were happy, even though they knew it couldn't last forever.

it's said that even on her last day, lysithea smiled, knowing she had made the most of her short life.

Speaking of marriage, considering alliances with other tans, do you think Martín was ever engaged to another tan before? Or that maybe Antonio might have suggested it?

I knows it’s a running joke on the anime to take alliances as marriages, but I’ve been so alianated from the main fandom that I really just do whatever I want at this point and I don’t take alliances as marriages (sans the Anglo-Portuguese one ‘cause it’s ridicolous you guys). So my answer is no, Martín hasn’t been neither engaged or married.

But for the question’s sake I’ll go along with Hetalia’s logic, sure why not.

In that case Martín has been married a couple of time and I think he must have HATED it. Martín is a romantic at heart and I hc he has a very hard time separating his personal life from his tan life, so he’d take this “forced marriage” very personal and not as some diplomatic arrangement. He’d recent it, he doesn’t take it kindly to be forced to do things he doesnt want to or doesnt stand for. He be like that.

As for Antonio suggesting marriage, I'm assumig you mean during Martín's colony times, right? I dont think so, no. And I have two reasons for it:

Firstly, I dont think Antonio liked to draw attention to the fact this kids were tans and they had the ability to form alliances. It was a dangerous idea after all, he’d have been very easily outnumbered if they did. I like to hc Toño tried his best to keep his kids from any tan related responsabilities, he just let them live in this Nerverland-y world in which they got to be regular kids who just happen to be immortal and never age. Sure they had responsabilities of their own, but not very different from the ones any kid that time had. It was Antonio’s way to keep them kids forever, to keep them needing him. If he didnt throw politics at them then they would never grow this sense of autonomy and they'd forever stay with him. So no, no marriage or alliances talk with the children.

Second, I hc the Hispanics were *children* during their time under Antonio’s wing. Unlike Port who I do hc got to see Lulu grow and turn into a teen with the creation of the Brazilian Empire, I hc the Hispanics were young children during all of their time as Spanish colonies. They only stopped being children and turned into teens the moment they cut ties with Spain, which means Antonio had already lost any agency over them by the time they hit a somewhat more “appropiate” age to start thinking about relationships that way. They were not marriage material during their time under Antonio’s wing, you wouldn’t suggest a 10 year old to get married yk?

I'm a parent. If you choose to spend more time with you partner, whether they're demanding it or not, that's on you. If you have a partner who wants to be put first you dont stay with them. She is a full blown adult and she didn't care that she was putting him first.

We don't know what their life was really like. We saw tiny moments of it. I only think that the kids didn't know him that well because I never saw any real recognition or affection on their faces at the concerts. You'd think they'd be pointing and smiling up at him on the screen. They're young enough that they won't be able to pretend they're not seeing someone they're super find of. I actually think olivia might have been a bit sensible and had them know Harry as her friend. They obviously met him and saw him, but I don't get the impression he was seen as any sort of emotional figure to them. Now whether that was down to him or her is the question, but it may have been the one good choice they made.

i think the fact that they were at his shows at all is telling. he would also at times wave or seemingly acknowledge them/olivia.

i think the kids were around him enough in 2 years and lived with him at times enough that of course he'd be a type of emotional figure. olivia and harry are not good at boundaries and olivia i think really saw this as a long term forever thing for her, i don't think she'd have been that embarrassing if it hadn't been., so i do think the kids were seeing them being affectionate/loving to each other etc.

of course olivia has the biggest responsibility in all of this, but i do think it's symptomatic of how harry is that he can get into this relationship, break up a 9 year engagement, divide these children into two homes, and just cuts and runs without caring or even looking back. it's just ruthless. then no doubt he will sing some songs portraying himself as some type of romantic or person who fell deeply in love, and i just don't believe this man ever has.

I don't think he would be turned. He was born this way, either just from Varian or maybe both parents were vampires.

He grows up knowing he's different. He knows that in order to eat it means hurting people. He doesn't really understand why, or how, but that's just how things are.

He stays in his castle, all day, all night. People think he's just a sheltered royal kid. He never goes out, not even to feed. He can't bare it. His father told him of all the assassins and hunters who wouldn't think twice about staking his heart. If it was revealed the royal family were vampires, they'd all get killed.

As he grows up, it becomes more and more unavoidable that he's a predator. He's thin, sickly, because he's always too afraid to eat. He doesn't want to be a creature of the dark.

But he has to sometimes. He can't starve himself forever. He has a kingdom to run.

Maybe that's why vampduin would invent his version of Jerek... He has to go out hunting sometimes. Why not make a fake identity?

Thomas Sharpe in a Twilight crossover?

Look I finally watched Crimson Peak today and I can sincerely say that Thomas Sharpe deserved better. It doesn’t in anyway excuse what he did but his older sister is all that he had and from the info that the movie gave us about the timeline this started before she killed their mother (which was when she was 14 and he was 12). Soooo like he quite literally had no one else since they were kids as they had been neglected and abused by their parents and Thomas’ older sister was a manipulative psycho. She was all he knew and trusted and in the end he tried to make it better (even though that involved bringing his sister along which is understandable) by stabbing Alan in a place he wouldn’t die and trying to save Edith.

Basically, I absolutely suck at writing fanfiction in anything other then point form but I’m great with coming up with ideas so if someone wants to write an actual fanfic using this it would be great (just tag me in it pls I’d really want to read it). Also, it would probably work really well as a reader insert but that might just be because I have no ideas about the female vamp.

• Some vampire ended up finding Thomas as he was dying and his sister was off killing Edith

• She basically asked him whether he wanted to live or not (or maybe she just did it without asking idk he’d probs say no if she asked tbh)

• He ends up changing and during that, since he technically dies, the scene where he shows up and distracts his sister from killing Edith happens (or the vampire could have a gift that allows people and herself to astral project maybe?)

• When he wakes up he's in a different place, probably one of the female vampire’s homes, and she explains to him what happened and all that 

• She tells him that if he wants she can buy the Sharpe home, renovate it, and even get the bodies out (out of the clay filled cylinders in the basement) but he'll have to live with the ghosts, like his sister, that'll stay forever since they're stuck there because of grief and love

- So Gusu Lan’s main base The cloud recesses is an Eldricht Demon realm . Which is why Xichen has filter over it for someone who is a good Cultivator like him it’s pretty easy to look at Gusu Lan in its full warped Eldricht Beauty with out going insane .

- this dose Bring Concerns about about Sizhui the only human there who sees the true Cloud Rescesses everyday and is still sane . There are. Many theories that people have which includes Him actaully having a personal Filter , him being adopted at an age were he could adapt to it and the most ridiculous being Sizhui being a higher Eldricht Being hiding using Sizhui’s body as a way To manifest itself.

Xichen seemed to change hes serene Tone for a more Melancholy one looking at one spefic Slug person with two Juniors one was a Slug like Him and other completely human . The Slug Junior seemed to have done something wrong as he was being pulled the older slug .

- Wen  wanted  to  Assert  Dominance   . Basically  in an Archery match the sects  have  every year  in Wen sect  no body  from  Wen  sect came in the top 4   Lan  Wangji came in  4th despite  throwing the competion  halfway  ,He's  brother Xichen  came in  second ,Jin Zixaun was third  and in first was JC's Adopted Brother Wei Wuxian  .  This  made Wen worry  

- The  first thing that Wen  did was   attack the  cloud recesses of Gusu Lan  .However Wen   didn't just  stop at forcing them  to   burn the place  down  not  they did something worse after they had burned the  Cloud recesses  they then  release  a  Large amount of   Parasitic Slugs on  the  poor sect  and since  thier Home was burned they had no where to  go , since Wangji 's Leg was  broken  and everyone  left to  run  Wangji   was  infected more severely than most of the  sect .

- However  Lan sect was Surprisingly resistance. to  Changes these Parasitic  were  making to thier  bodies and  Lasted a long while until  Xichen came back  with allies .Where Qiren  inform him of the  state  Gusu Lan was in , If the slugs weren't removed they'd all sex addicted feral  frankly ugly eldritch Slug creatures  known as Deformers  and says some have already transformed and left the sect in search of  what ever  unfortunate  partner they can get thier hands on. 

- Luckily, the Order of the Chief god heard the Plight of  the sects  fighting  against Wen's sect and thier healer/doctors could help them  . Not really ...the order of the chief god are kinda  horrible   people when it comes to  monsters  including the Chief god  himself and When Xichen  asks for  help removing  parasitic monsterizating slugs  from members of his sect most healers/ Doctors  from  the  order  turned him down saying Gusu  Lan was a lost cause and Xichen couldn't  get  help  from healer's or doctors from the area even with help of Jin Guangyao and  Nie Mingjue asking  around when they weren't  fighting  no one would take the  Job  as it would require a skilled surgeon and Gusu Lan's resitiance to the  change  was dwiddling .

-  Xichen  started to notice  that his own brother  would sometimes  attack him  in a brief feral Lust fuel rages before  snapping out it as if Wangji couldn't discern Xichen  as  his brother .

- Xichen was getting desperate he  didn't want  anymore of his Sect to become these  feral minded sex fuel Monsters that barely any remembered  who  they were. Even if they did win the Sunshot campaign , Wen would still have the last laugh .Xichen  even  consider  infecting himself with the slugs  so that  he'd aleast be able suffer with his sect  in thier final moments of being human and being capable of  having  rational  thought .Even though Jin Guangyao and Mingjue protested him doing this  they both knew thier was no point  Xichen was going  to go down with his  ship . “That was until  a strange man  who was eating  cake at the other   table  put down his  fork  he seemed to  have  be from Zipangu“ Xichen countined his Story ”however Mingjue got  more defensive when  he saw the strange  belt  around his waist the man  was a Masked Rider one the orders many  Hero's several of whom help us out in the fights against Wen. “

- However this rider  stated that he  meant no harm as he hand over heard Xichen's  plight about  the parasitic slugs and give the men the hard  truth ,The order  doesn't operate on people  with these Parasitic  slugs inside them because Removing  doesn't prevent people from  becoming  monsters.But it dose save thier ability to  think rationally  though they become  an entirely different  monster from a deformer .

- The rider then  said  He'd offer to help as he's known through the order as being a Master surgeon able  operate on any organ. Xichen accepted his  offer  with  tears of joy and hope it wasn't to late to save  his brother  and Uncle .

The Rider called his  two female  assistances  over  and told them they  were headed to Gusu lan's Section of the battle field and then to  the cloud recesses itself

- The  Cloud Recesses  now  regard this rider  and his assistances as a hero who selflessly put themselves on a the order's chopping block as they resisted the order commands not to help them .

” The Rider told me to call him Brave as to not give The order any reason to attack Gusu Lan .” Xichen snapped out his Reminescening when you ask a question “ What are the Slug people called now well Beforers .”

Beforers

- Beforers and Deformer are a Type of Eldricht Slug monster That was an Idea that me and a friend came up with during her Recent Star Wars obsession . I expanded upon Cloud Recesses and Beforers After taking a look at Junji Itos Uzamaki you know the story where people turn into snails and spirals .

- Anyways beforer just like Other Eldritch monsters are Weird . Beforers and Deformers are classified as Tritionia subspecies as they look like Sea slug though thier body structure mimic The struture of blue Dragon sea slugs( though they often are seen with legs ) they can have the Look of anything kind of sea slug.

- Deformers come from a Parasite . Deformers are basically Feral Eldritch beasts that basically Attack anyone the see as a potenial Vessels For the slug parasites and Taking them out is A basically only one way to become a Beforer as previous Said Gusu Lans Music can also cause humans to become beforer .

- So Beforer don’t manifest Genitals until they take partners. but they do Birth Asexually little slug creatures That eventually turning into Beforers basically cloning themselves

-Yes Beforers are Hermaphrodites like Normal slugs .

- They a look plumper and Gain Long tentacles like appendage that grow from their lower back that seem to have mind of its own after Taking a partner.
